Dave Helmly will demonstrate how, through Creative Cloud, new innovations will continue to make Premiere Pro CC the market leading NLE. There will be plenty of time for questions!

As the Senior Manager for Pro Video for the Americas at Adobe, David Helmly manages a Senior Field Team specializing in Pro Video/Audio production workflows for film and broadcast in North and South America. Helmly also travels abroad giving lectures and participating in various industry advisory councils and panel discussions.
Dave has worked for Adobe for nearly 20 years and has specialized in digital video and digital imaging products for more than 25 years.
Prior to Adobe, Dave worked for a digital video pioneer, Radius Inc, a well-known hardware company developing digital video and digital imaging accelerator products for Adobe’s award winning line of software.

– “From Script to Screen on 18:20 and HERO PUNK” – Kanen Flowers, ThatStudio.com
Kanen will delight you with expletives as he takes you on a journey from Script to Screen for both 18:20 and HERO PUNK and discusses a global workflow with almost fifty artists around the world. 18:20 is a time-travel, adventure and HERO PUNK is a cyberpunk superhero feature film. Kanen will discuss Trello, Wipster, Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, SpeedGrade and more) as well as his experience shooting two full-length feature films on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera.
It’s a tour-de-force of filmmaking, collaboration and content delivery – PLUS:
Kanen will present the WORLD PREMIERE of the trailer to HERO PUNK. Hero Punk is a cyberpunk, superhero film which takes place in an alternate earth, in the year 2042, in what was once San Francisco. Like “Sin City”, Hero Punk was shot entirely on green screen.
ABOUT KANEN FLOWERS
Kanen Flowers oversees the creative content produced by That Studio and is the creator of HERO PUNK and 18:20. In a previous life, he founded nCircle and later, Scruffy.TV — where he was the creator of That Media Show and The Scruffy Shows, which included Flight Club. Kanen is on the Adobe Advisory Board (for Video). He uses Audition, Premiere and After Effects and Imagineer System’s mocha Pro and Maxon Cinema 4D. He writes his screenplays in #Fountain using Slugline, then imports them into Adobe Story for scheduling and collaboration.
In 2014, Kanen founded THAT STUDIO — with a focus on Independent Visual Effects, Creative Content and Distribution of new films. Along with his co-founder, Alan E. Bell, Kanen is helping new (and existing) artists get their content onto the Internet.

We are delighted to have Emmy award-winning CBS Boston photojournalist Rick Macomber back to screen a trailer to PROJECT RIGHT, a short doc Rick produced and directed as part of One Day On Earth‘s One Day in Boston, a city-wide, participatory media-creation event on April 24th inviting filmmakers to investigate the future of Boston. BOSCPUG is proud to work with Emerson Visual and Media Arts to offer an evening of production and post-production conversation in the intimate and state of the art Bright Family 2K Screening Room at The Paramount Center at Emerson College.
Named for the family of Kevin Bright ’76, the Bright Family Screening Room seats approximately 200 people. It features the latest film and 2K digital video projection including 35mm. The dramatic double-height Gallery and Lobby connects to the Paramount Mainstage.
