MICHELLE PIZANIS – Behind the Scenes Filming MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

hero@2x

One of the year’s biggest films is MAD MAX: FURY ROAD with some of the most amazing action footage ever shot. The film contains action and stunt scenes beyond what seems possible to shoot live. And MAD MAX: FURY ROAD had MICHELLE PIZANIS working on it.

enlargement-2@2x

Michelle started her career in film after 11 years as a successful stills photographer. On MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, Michelle was the camera coordinating AC, working with Academy Award winning DP John Seale.

fury-rd-ITF-1-lg

While shooting a number of scenes in Sydney, Australia, Michelle and John used Blackmagic Cinema Cameras EF for some of the film’s key scenes, including an exciting escape scene and a large, climatic action sequence involving exploding trucks and cinematic mayhem. The scenes were shot in RAW, which allowed the team to capture as much detail as possible within each shot, giving the VFX artists a huge amount of data to work with.

We’re thrilled to have Michelle with us for a special conversation on filming with Blackmagic Design Cameras on MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, her role in working with DP John Seale on the film, and her experiences in working in the industry.

BRING LOTS OF QUESTIONS for this rare opportunity to be in conversation with Michelle!
