Fremont, CA – May 20, 2020 – Blackmagic Design today announced that MultiCAM Systems, a supplier of integrated video production systems, is using DeckLink PCIe capture and playback cards with their MultiCAM line of all in one video systems. The DeckLinks are used in conjunction with a Medialooks video SDK which has allowed MultiCAM to build easy to use production kits for video and audio capturing, mixing and playback.

MultiCAM Systems is a French company that builds easy to use video production systems shipped throughout the world. Their products, aimed at the radio, medical, broadcast, elearning, conferencing and video production markets, provide PTZ robotic cameras and fully automated audio and video control in all in one integrated systems that anyone can install and use.

Medialooks is a Russia based company that has built one of the most popular video SDKs for broadcasters. The Medialooks SDK offers a wide range of features necessary for fast product development without involving a large team of developers and has helped create video and media applications such as broadcast and playout automation solutions, video ingest, capture and logging software, video production systems, video analysis software and game capture & streaming.

“MultiCAM products are designed for people who want to create video but don’t want to know about the process. Blackmagic DeckLinks are an essential part of allowing us to provide a predictable, easy to use experience that is guaranteed to work,” said Stan Walbert, CEO of MultiCAM Systems. “The strategy of Blackmagic is affordability and offering easy to use technology. They changed the industry and we use their products because we share the same vision.”

MultiCAM products are designed to fit the specific needs of different users, and allow customers to be able to move and manage audio and video files quickly and easily. Each system comes with both the hardware and software needed to allow any level of customer to create video programming. Part of the hardware used with each system is the addition of one of a number of different DeckLink cards.

DeckLink PCIe capture and playback devices are the world’s highest performance capture cards for Mac, Windows and Linux. The largest MultiCam system includes up to nine PTZ cameras managed by a MultiCAM touchscreen system that provides fully automated control and playback of video. Depending on the number of cameras used, customers will either use DeckLink Quad 2 PCIe cards with eight SDI inputs, a DeckLink Studio 4K with embedded audio input and video output via SDI or a DeckLink Duo 2 for smaller setups, such as eLearning which usually includes only two cameras.

“It is great that we have a choice of cards from Blackmagic Design to pick from depending on how many inputs and outputs we need. It is cost effective and really versatile to combine and build the solution for every use case we provide,” said Arnaud Anchelergue, co-funder of multiCAM Systems. “Blackmagic is always innovating, and because we use the Medialooks video SDK to help us quickly integrate new DeckLink products we do not have to spend extra time integrating new cards as they become available.”

“By integrating new Blackmagic DeckLink cards quickly using a Medialooks video SDK, they are able to quickly cut through the abyss between the user and heavy, expensive systems that require intensive training and maintenance,” said Andrey Okunev, co-founder and CEO of Medialooks.
